Business Unit Director

Business Unit Director: OMP provides its clients with a wide variety of

services, including marketing (SEO, affiliate program, PPC, etc), website and software development and design, conversion, content creation, account management, business intelligence, strategy and budgeting. The Business Unit Director's role is to lead these processes and ultimately maximize our clients' profit.

The Business Unit Director will work closely with the following members of our international team:

  • SEO , web analytics and site management teams to develop road maps and set priorities for website traffic volume, conversions and quality
  • IT team to ensure the platform supports the business needs and minimizes concept-to-production turnaround time
  • Editors to ensure high quality and demanded content that also helps driving revenue
  • Account managers to maximize value per lead

Responsibilities:

  • Vision and strategy for business unit
  • Profit and loss responsibility
  • Identify business opportunities and create and pitch business cases
  • Allocate resources to the business and prioritize multiple projects
  • Acquire and lead dedicated resources and specify need for shared resources
  • *Collaborate and share best practices with other Business Unit Directors
Initial responsibilities you will later acquire resources for:
  • Ongoing market and competitive analyses, including SWOT of major competitors
  • Plan and execute aggressive marketing activities to drive the business
  • Quality assurance: ensuring a user-friendly, interactive, and greaT look and feel on site
  • Drive continuous product and process improvement

Professional requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of online media experience, involving online traffic acquisition, optimization and sales
  • Minimum 2 years project management experience with staff responsibility
  • Minimum 2 years of profit and loss responsibility
  • Excellent understanding of what goes into operating a commercial website such as web analytics, online marketing, content management, copywriting, development, visual design, IT and QA
  • Proven project management and performance management skills
  • Experience working with external business partners
Formal requirements:
  • Technical PM designation is a great asset
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma (in a related field) is an asset
  • Fluent in English

  • Passion for/understanding of marketing and Internet/production
